During the selection process for the first camp, I scored 19 out of 30 points in the first round, which earned me a spot in the national-level Academic Olympiad Camp (organized by POSN) held at Suankularb Wittayalai School. At this camp, I had the opportunity to meet many talented upper-level students while I was just a Grade 8 (Matthayom 2) newcomer.
At that time, I didn’t anticipate becoming a representative of the center. My primary goal was to pass and qualify for the second camp. While my peers spent their time playing football or engaging in other activities, I focused on solving math problems using supplemental resources, such as POSN books and SupK materials. I started seriously studying these books in Grade 7 (Matthayom 1) to prepare for this competition.
My most challenging topic during the first camp was complex numbers, as I had no prior experience. Nevertheless, through consistent effort—studying additional materials late into the night and seeking advice from the camp instructors—I steadily improved. Ultimately, I was selected as one of the 30 students to advance to the second camp.
This camp not only improved my academic knowledge but also encouraged me to further develop my research skills and ability to learn independently.
